Per firm tradition, Wagner Reese will be proudly partnering with the Indianapolis Colts to participate in the “Salute to Service” campaign honoring United States service members with special events throughout the month of November. While “Salute to Service” is a year-round endeavor to express our gratitude to our troops, with Veterans Day falling on November 11th, the entire month of November presents the perfect opportunity to focus the nation’s attention on celebrating these brave citizens’ efforts.
In previous years, the club’s involvement in this campaign involved pre-game breakfasts and banner programs, as well as U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs hospital visits. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 (also known as the coronavirus) pandemic, November “Salute to Service” events will primarily take to a virtual stage to ensure the health of all participants. Fortunately, the “Salute to Service” game will still take place on November 8th.
“Salute to Service” 2020 Agenda
#ColtsSalute Social Media Campaign
Throughout the entire month of November, football fans will be encouraged to join NFL players in posting photos to their social media accounts showcasing their military heroes.
A “ColtsSalute” card will be available for fans to download and fill out with information about their military hero and comment on why they are honoring them. To participate in the social media campaign, fans can take a picture of themselves holding their cards and post it to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or whatever their preferred social media channels are with the hashtags #COLTSSALUTE and #FORTHESHOE.
Honoring Gold Star Families During the “Salute to Service” Game
Twenty-five Gold Star Families will be in attendance for the November 8 “Salute to Service” game. The families will be recognized in-game and provided with a $100 concession voucher courtesy of the Colts and Wagner Reese.
Honoring Fallen Soldiers During the “Salute to Service” Game
Alongside the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), Wagner Reese and the Colts will honor 10 fallen heroes during the “Salute to Service” football game with decals of their initials decking out 55 players’ helmets. A replica helmet, letter from the organization and a care package will be sent to the families of these honored soldiers.
Proudly Supporting U.S. Service Members
Wagner Reese is proud to honor our nation’s service members. Previously, we had the privilege of honoring Armed Forces Day at the 2019 Colts Training Camp, and for Veterans Day in 2019, we helped the Colts distribute care packages to patients at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. Our partnership with the Colts is part of our ongoing efforts to give back to those who risked their lives for our country’s freedom. We have represented veterans in personal injury and medical malpractice claims for years.
