Alexander Carlisle
Mr. Carlisle focuses his practice on representing injured parties and their families in personal injury, civil rights, and wrongful death cases.
Prior to representing injured parties, Mr. Carlisle served for more than five years as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Indiana, where he defended state agencies, officials, and employees in civil rights and employment disputes before state and federal courts. At the Attorney General’s Office, Mr. Carlisle successfully tried several cases to juries in federal court and frequently obtained favorable judgments on motions practice. He also served as the Assistant Section Chief of the Government Litigation section, where he helped oversee a dedicated group of attorneys and paralegals.
Before his tenure at the State, Mr. Carlisle worked as an associate attorney for a law firm in Indianapolis, where he gained experience across many areas of the law, including insurance defense, school and municipal matters, and environmental and utilities law. His prior work has given him an invaluable perspective into how insurers and the government value and defend cases brought by injured parties.
In all cases, Mr. Carlisle is a steadfast advocate who strives to obtain the best possible legal outcomes for his clients. He walks alongside them in their pursuit of justice, giving them a voice to tell their story. He understands the deep and direct impact his work has on his clients’ lives.
