Former Mooresville Christian Academy Teacher Faces Serious Charges for Supplying Drugs and Inappropriate Conduct with Minor
A disturbing case has emerged out of Mooresville, Indiana, involving a former robotics teacher at Mooresville Christian Academy (MCA), Jacob Wessel, who has been charged with supplying marijuana and Adderall to a 13-year-old student, alongside engaging in sexually inappropriate communication. This case has not only shocked the local community but also raised serious questions about school oversight and student safety.
According to court documents obtained by FOX59, Wessel allegedly began texting the victim in September 2024, initially discussing everyday topics. However, the conversations soon turned inappropriate, with Wessel expressing that he and the student were “in love” and stating his desire to kiss her. When the victim expressed discomfort, Wessel dismissed her concerns, claiming he “does not see or put an age on it for his feelings.” The victim also disclosed that Wessel had touched her shoulders or back during a visit to his home, further escalating the severity of the allegations.
More alarmingly, Wessel reportedly provided the minor with Adderall while they were inside the elementary school area, offering it as a way to cope with test stress, and supplied marijuana on at least one occasion inside his residence. The victim admitted to consuming marijuana with Wessel and confirmed that she had shared these concerns with school administration in December 2024, which led to Wessel’s termination.
Despite these reports, the head of MCA, Bruce Peters, initially downplayed the severity of the situation in an email to the school community, stating the texts were “not sexual in nature” and emphasizing Wessel’s positive impact on students. However, subsequent investigations by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office revealed the extent of Wessel’s misconduct, culminating in an arrest warrant issued in May 2025. Wessel now faces charges including child solicitation, dealing in a Schedule II controlled substance, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
