Kelley Johnson is an experienced jury trial lawyer representing injured people in medical malpractice cases. She is a zealous advocate for her injured clients both in and out of the courtroom, and has represented her clients in numerous jury and bench trials throughout the state of Indiana. Her favorite part about being a medical malpractice lawyer is getting to know her clients while she represents them during such an important time in their lives. Kelley is proud to be a plaintiff’s attorney, giving her clients a chance to have their day in court.
Kelley completed her undergraduate studies at Purdue University in 1992. She graduated from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2005. Kelley is a member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and the Indianapolis Bar Association. She served as President of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation in 2013 and served on the board of directors for the Indianapolis Bar Association from 2014-2015. She participated in the Bar Leader Series Class VI, and recently chaired Bar Leader Series Class XV. She currently serves on the executive committee for the Women in Law Division and on the steering committee for Bar Leader Series Class XVI. Kelley actively promotes participation in the bar among her peers. Kelley is a Barrister in the Indianapolis American Inn of Court. Kelley has also been recognized as a top-rated medical malpractice attorney by her peers as an Indiana Rising Stars in 2010, 2012-2015, and as an Indiana Super Lawyer in 2017-2019. She was named to the Top 25 Women by Indiana Super Lawyers in 2017.
Kelley was born and raised in a large family of 7, living throughout the state Indiana, from South Bend to southern Indiana, spending the majority of her childhood on a rural farm in Warrick County. She earned her undergraduate degree from Purdue University and her law degree from Indiana University McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis. She is admitted to practice in the state of Indiana, the Southern District and Northern District federal courts and the Seventh Circuit federal appellate court. Before joining Wagner Reese, Kelley spent over 13 years as a litigator with the well-respected Indianapolis plaintiff’s firm where she focused her practice on medical malpractice.
Kelley and her husband, Chad, live in Zionsville with their two children, Karley and Craig, and their French Bulldogs, Stella and Stewie. Kelley enjoys spending her free time attending her daughter’s soccer and basketball games and her son’s chess tournaments.
