Four years ago, Enrique Flores joined our legal team here at Wagner Reese. These years have revealed to us a lot about Enrique: his legal expertise and commitment to clients, but also his far-reaching compassion for members of the Latino community here in Indiana. It’s been inspiring to witness.
Today, he receives a well-deserved award for all his hard work. We couldn’t be prouder to see Enrique honored with the 2018 Trailblazer/Abriendo Caminos Award. This award recognizes the outstanding leadership of a lawyer who has paved the way for other Latino attorneys and the Latino community as a whole.
Enrique’s background has equipped him for the service and advocacy he’s known for today. Growing up in both Mexico and the border town of El Paso, he understands the needs of the Latino community, particularly when those needs involve matters of justice. He serves our Spanish-speaking clients and provides them with the representation they deserve, fighting on behalf of victims of personal injury and workers’ compensationaccidents. The legal landscape c
an be complex and it’s critical to understand the rights of both documented and undocumented workers; Enrique provides a much-needed voice for his clients in this arena. “My cell phone number is on my card,” Enrique says. “I want to treat people like my own family. I take my role as a counselor very seriously.” And truly, he does.
His interest in serving the community extends beyond his day-to-day practice. Enrique provides free legal advice and representation for individuals who come to the Mexican Consulate for assistance. He also donates his time to Gleaner’s Food Bank, Project Stepping Stone, IndyBar’s Ask a Lawyer, and many other community-minded organizations, as well as mentoring minority undergrad and law students.
Wagner Reese would like to thank Enrique for his many efforts on behalf of the Latino community and our clients. Congratulations on receiving this wonderful honor!
