Jimmie Hitchcock Killed By Drunk Driver View Larger Image
San Pierre, IN resident, 60-year-old Jimmie Hitchcock was killed last week in an accident at the intersection of White County Road 900 North and U.S. 421.
The driver of the second vehicle in the accident is facing charges of driving while intoxicated. That driver, 47-year-old Merrillville resident, Thomas Feneck, was driving his Ford F150 west on White County 900 North when he struck the driver’s side of Hitchcock’s Hyundai Elantra.
Feneck was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resulting in the death of another person. As a result of the accident, U.S. 421 was closed at that location for about 4 hours while the Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police, Monon Town Marshal’s Office, the Monon Fire Department, Monticello Fire Department, and White County Emergency management Agency all participated in assistance and cleanup of the site.
