Brooklynn Pope Killed in I-70 4-Car Accident
Three-year-old Brooklynn Pope was killed in tragic accident last Saturday in a multi-vehicle accident on I-70.
According to reports, the mother, 29-year-old Ashley Pope, and Brooklyn’s one-year-old brother were flown to Indianapolis hospitals by helicopter.
Ashley Pope was treated at Methodist Hospital, and was released later that day. The baby remains in critical condition at Riley Hospital for Children.
The crash occurred when a pick-up truck struck them from behind and caused a chain reaction on the interstate. 43-year-old Jason Firle of New Castle, Indiana was driving the truck. Reports say four vehicles were involved in the accident near the Wilbur Road exit. Investigations are ongoing as to the cause.
