Medical License Suspension For Dr. Hedrick Continues Indefinitely
52-year-old William Hedrick’s medical license will continue to be suspended indefinitely, as criminal charges are still pending against him in this new calendar year. The Indiana Medical Licensing Board has said the suspension will continue as a result of the charges against the doctor, charges including over-prescribing, Medicaid fraud, reckless prescribing, forgery, and three counts of registration offense.
If you’ve been following along with us through the past year, you know William Hedrick was the owner of several pain management centers throughout the state. He has since been forced to shut down 12 of the Indiana Pain Center locations, and has agreed to the continued suspension of his license, even though he previously denied charges. Recent reports have stated that Hedrick is pleading not-guilty in his case.
The charges were originally filed against Hedrick after eight patient deaths were linked to overdoses that had been prescribed at his clinics. Hedrick also received misdemeanor charges for interfering with the Jury in the David Bisard case back in 2012.
