Hit-And-Run Accident Leaves Driver in Serious Condition
Police are still in search of a man who fled from the scene of a hit-and-run accident that left another driver in serious condition.
Witnesses at the accident said that a blue Hummer was traveling at least 80 mph when it smashed into Eric Angleton’s car last Sunday night. The driver of the Hummer got out of his vehicle and fled the scene on foot, leaving the Hummer at the scene.
Angleton was trapped inside his car until IMPD arrived to extract him and emergency personnel transported him to the hospital. He remains in critical condition. Police are asking for any help identifying the driver of the blue Hummer, and they are still running the plates on the vehicle and trying to trace the identity of the driver.
The accident happened when the Hummer ran a red light at 38th and Kessler, and smashed into the driver’s side of Angleton’s car, pushing it into a ditch.
