Fatal Motorcycle Accident on I-69 - No Helmets
An Illinois resident was killed in Noblesville, IN last Saturday evening in a tragic motorcycle accident on I-69.
Just east of the Hamilton Town Center, off exit 210, Noblesville police believe the accident happened around 6:15 p.m. Curtis D. McKinney of Edgewood, IL was driving the motorcycle, and according to reports, lost control of it when he tried to slow for traffic.
Neither Curtis McKinney, nor Bonnie McKinney, the passenger, were wearing helmets, and both were thrown from the motorcycle.
Curtis McKinney was transported to St. Vincent Health in Fishers, IN, where he was pronounced dead as a result of serious injuries. Bonnie McKinney was transported to IU Health Methodist, and was treated and released later that evening.
