Search Warrant Filed for Centers for Pain Relief Clinic
The Centers for Pain Relief Clinic in Muncie, Indiana, operated by Dr. William Hedrick, is under investigation again today after new information was gathered revealing eight overdose deaths of patients, related to prescriptions handed out by Dr. Hedrick and his nurse practitioners.
Dr. Hedrick was arrested last December on charges of interfering with Jury Service, a Class B misdemeanor. This arrest was part of the David Bisard case. He was accused of unsafe prescribing practices in 2013 but was able to keep his license.
No criminal charges have been pressed as of yet involving the overdoses of these patients, but a warrant has been served for the search of the premises, and an investigation is underway. This Northern Indiana clinic is located just minutes from Ball State University, and is one of 12 Centers for Pain Relief clinics in the state.
We hope to keep you updated as this investigation unfolds and we receive more information on potential criminal charges and wrongful death claims against Dr. Hedrick and his staff.
