Mustang Stolen Before Crashing into Greyhound Bus
Last Sunday morning, a stolen car crashed head-on with a bus on I-70. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department released a statement that said Philip Lloyd of Richmond, IN stole the 1990 Ford Mustang from the Love’s Truck Stop located on US 35. Just minutes later, Lloyd was heading westbound on I-70 in the eastbound lanes, and crashed into a Greyhound bus around mile marker 149.
The bus was en route from St. Louis, MO to Dayton, OH. Philip Lloyd was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, and 19 passengers from the bus were taken to the hospital with a range of injuries. Most of the injuries were minor, but the driver of the bus was airlifted to Methodist Hospital, and the extent of his injuries is unknown at this time. The crash is still under investigation, and we hope to provide you with more information when we hear the details.
