Worker Injured in Boone County Truck Accident
It’s hard to spend much time in a work environment without witnessing an accident of some sort. Work accidents are so frequent, that thousands of people are treated in hospitals annually, as a result of some type of work injury.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has dedicated themselves to eradicating work accidents, and they have come a long way in the past few decades toward that goal. Since 1970, OSHA has reduced occupational injuries by over 65%, even with the U.S. employment rate nearly doubling.
Last week, Boone County, IN saw one such incident when two truck drivers were unhitching a trailer together, and one driver ran over the other’s foot. This accident occurred at the Amazon Fulfillment Center before 7 a.m. last Monday morning.
The injured worker was immediately taken to the hospital and is said to be recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.
