NHTSA Creates New Distracted Driving Ad Campaign

Steve Wagner

In honor of Distracted Driving Awareness Month, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has just released a new ad, targeting teenagers and young adults who make a habit of cell phone usage while driving.

The ad cost a whopping $8.5 million to produce, but the results may be worth that cost. The ad depicts three teens on a drive together, laughing and talking and clearly enjoying themselves. When the driver pauses to answer a text message, the ad takes a dark turn.

Does this make you rethink texting and driving? We hope so. Help us share this ad and raise awareness of the thousands that are being injured and killed each year as a result of distracted driving and cell phone usage behind the wheel. Give us a call at (888) 204-8440 if we can assist you in any way.
