Family of Betty Riley Searches For Answers

Seteve Wagner

The family of Betty Riley continues to search for answers regarding the wrongful death of their loved one. Riley’s death was ruled a homicide in December of 2011 by the Allen County Coroner after an Indiana State Department of Health investigation.

On March 5, 2013, a press conference was held to announce a wrongful death lawsuit against the Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County and American Senior Communities. Representing Riley’s two sons, attorney Stephen Wagner stated, “This case has egregious facts. It involves lies, the cover up of a homicide and two corporations who basically placed profit over patient care.”
