Noblesville Doctor Linked to Four Deaths
Dr. Jeffery E. Boone of Noblesville, Indiana, is under investigation after Drug Enforcement Administration agents raided his Hamilton County office last week. He is accused of over-prescribing drugs to patients, and recently unsealed court documents show that Dr. Boone is linked to the deaths of four women from 2009-2012 who are thought to have been over-prescribed pain medications.
Dr. Boone has been the subject of DEA investigation since July 2000 regarding the death of a patient who died of possible drug intoxication. There are 14 patients who have been found so far that were prescribed drugs to mimic the effects of heroin use. There are also accusations that Dr. Boone traded drugs for sex.
The investigation has not yet led to the arrest of Dr. Boone, and he still has a license to practice medicine in Indiana.
